Positive Mindset
Journal #1

This Journal is designed for use two-days a week for 12 weeks. There are 24 Inspirational quote and structured getting started question pages plus 24 blank pages for your stream of consciousness.  The intention is to start the habit of journal writing on a regular basis.

There are two versions of this PDF Journals to download. 
One Journal PDF Download has the beach background on all pages.
The second Journal PDF Download has NO background image (a white background) on the pages that you write on.

No one likes to start with a blank page, so we get you started with an inspirational or thought-provoking affirmation. A few questions to make sure you keep the writing flowing then stream of consciousness for a page or so.  Once you get into the flow, no need to stop at one page, you can continue with as many blank sheets of paper as you can find.

Even if you only write “I do not know what to write” keep writing, make it a habit to write in your journal for the two days a week.  The little bit of structure on page #1. should help you get started then when you are flowing you are likely to find the insights you gain can help you during your day, your week, your month.

This Journal is Inspired by “The Artists Way” (Julia Cameron) and extensive Positive Psychology research that demonstrates the value of journaling as a tool to encourage a more positive mindset and as a therapy during times of anxiety and stress.

In general, people diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder reported significantly lower depression scores after three days of expressive writing, 20 minutes per day (Krpan, Kross, Berman, Deldin, Askren, & Jonides, 2013).

You can edit the journal and write your journal content directly into the document by using Microsoft Word; or more traditionally, just print out your PDF document and write in your journal as a paper document.
